ARMY CORP OF ENGINEERS - COVID ALTERNATE CARE FACILITIES
RPM Team had the honor of managing the full design and project program for the Army Corp of Engineers Covid Alternate Care Facility. Aligning the right manufacturers for a 45-day timeline, we developed a soil-anchor-shear-wall system to build raised flooring platforms that support a 1,000 lb x-ray machine without pouring concrete footings. The system and construction were designed to achieve negative pressure, a requirement for medical-grade facilities. In addition, we simultaneously designed and built four separate 20,000 SF, 5,400 SF, 1,800 SF, and 1,350 SF facilities. All bathroom, shower, and wall systems were manufactured off-site to accelerate the timeline and ensure cleanroom environments for post-construction finishings.
