Housing Solutions
RPM Housing develops and constructs homeless Navigation Centers.
“Navigation centers are raising the bar on how homeless shelters are now considered. These navigation centers and transitional housing facilities were inspired by the San Francisco Navigation Centers. They were designed and built by RPM, a company formed from Division Circle Team and Will Deneke (RPM), from Portland, OR.”
Julia Laue, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, San Francisco Department of Public Works
'“RPM demonstrated a clear and comprehensive understanding of the City’s needs and delivered a design package well below (industry standard) cost and budget and extremely demanding schedule. Additionally, they introduced other building products to reduce material and labor costs. It is this combination of understanding and action that led to the project’s success.”
Tom Herbel, P.E., City Engineer, City of Huntington Beach
Mission Cabins Project
A closed chain store parking lot in the Mission District has been chosen as the site for a new Tiny Home community. The Navigation Center will have a maximum occupancy of 68 people experiencing homelessness on the pathway to permanent housing. This low barrier shelter will ensure accessible support for all individuals. Essential amenities, including laundry facilities, will be provided to ensure a dignified living environment.
Division Circle Navigation Center
The Division Circle Navigation Center was built with the City of San Francisco’s Public Works Department and serves people living in encampments who have been unable to access services like intensive case management or health care and drug treatment programs at traditional shelters. Case managers are assigned to assist clients in navigating the system to access housing assistance and other necessary resources.
Salt Lake City Microshelter Project
The state of Utah worked with RPM Team to evaluate sites, create a regional approach, and develop a mass multi agency center strategic plan to reduce the state’s homeless population. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) site and implementation of Phase 1 of the strategic plan is the beginning of a strategy to offer temporary housing for Utah’s unhoused population.
