Expanding Recycling Capabilities with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings
El Dorado Disposal's Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) has undergone an strategic expansion with the deployment of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs). RPM Team provided PEMB management services, partnering with the GC, to add four expandable bays to the existing facility, each soaring to a clear height of 50 feet. This expansion has significantly enhanced the MRF's capacity to process recyclables efficiently. A Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) is a plant that uses people and machines to separate and prepare recyclable materials from waste for resale, avoiding unnecessary dumping in the landfill. MRFs are also known as Material Reclamation Facilities or Material Recycling Facilities.
To seamlessly integrate the new structure with the existing facility, the design team incorporated a unique parapet design along the peak to conceal ventilation equipment, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The additional warehouse and admin center further support the MRF's operations, providing essential space for storage and administrative functions.
This project showcases the versatility and efficiency of PEMBs in industrial applications. By leveraging our expertise in PEMB management, we were able to deliver a solution that not only meets El Dorado Disposal's immediate needs but also positions them for future growth and sustainability.
