Salt Lake City Addresses Homelessness with New Micro-Shelter

Originally published on Salt Lake City’s ABC4, RPM Team is proud to have played a key role in the development of the new micro-shelter community in Salt Lake City. Our experienced team helped find the state of Utah develop a multi year plan to create a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The Salt Lake City microcenter village project builds upon the success of a pilot program launched in December 2023. The micro-shelters were fully equipped with essential amenities and proved to be a valuable resource for the community. Following the pilot's success, the Utah legislature allocated funding to support the construction of a larger, more permanent facility.

The facility provides a safe and supportive environment for residents, with features such as:

  • Non-congregate shelter design for privacy and comfort

  • Fully equipped units with heating, lighting, air conditioning, beds, and outlets

  • 24/7 on-site staff to provide support and assistance

RPM Team committed to working with communities across the country to develop innovative solutions for homelessness. Our expertise in designing and constructing homeless navigation centers enables us to create spaces that are both functional and compassionate.
