State of California Rapidly Deployable Emergency Housing Study
RPM undertook a crucial housing study on an emergency basis for the state of California with the aim of analyzing an array of micro shelter units. The study aimed to determine the most suitable design and shape of the shelters that would seamlessly fit across the entire site, offering comprehensive housing, including sleeping units, bathroom units, shower units, kitchenette units, and day units.
In the process of auditing and selecting a manufacturer, RPM applied a multifaceted approach. The selection criteria encompassed diverse factors such as inventory availability, shipping and installation efficiency, cost per unit and per volume, energy efficiency, minimal foundation requirements, fire life safety and flame resistance, and dignity. Following a thorough evaluation process, RPM ultimately chose the Foldum tiny home product, which fulfilled all of their requirements and stood out as the most ideal solution.
